The D.E. class was always hard at work during the first two periods of the day. One period was devoted to retailing and the other to merchandising. During the year the students held jobs in downtown business houses to get | on-the-job experiences in selling. They also helped with inventories and re-ordering. Job placements were made by Mr. Cutler, D.E. advisor, who works along with the Ogden merchants to get the right person on the right job. This club sponsored an assembly this year with talent from Wahlquist and South Junior High Schools, and North Ogden elementary schools. The officers attended a state D.E. convention in Salt Lake City during the spring. A large group is enrolled in the Distributive Education class, which provides practical application of methods of retailing and merchandising. First row: Gayle Barnes, Charles Hinchcliff, Val Coles.
