The program, which is made up each spring, is planned to include activities which will help in the social and academic advancements of all of the girls. This year the Girls’ Association really outdid themselves. The officers, Carma, Beverly, Carol, Pat, Josephine, Vera and Janeen, were truly a group who tried very hard and succeeded in their work. With Miss Secrist, whom the girls all admire and respect for her interest in the girls of Weber, our officers sponsored many new forms of entertainment and enjoyment. Invitations sent out before school started invited all of the girls to a tri-pal party. The party accomplished well its purpose . . . to better acquaint the girls of the three classes with each other. In addition, the girls were treated to several special programs. Civilian Defense was discussed by Ralph Fuller, leader in this area, in one of the two separate assemblies held. The other featured a commercial fashion show with clothes from leading stores. “Serenade in Silver” provided a colorful social event of the year when Margo Marriott and Vern Nielson were chosen Miss Weber and Happy Warrior. Other activities included Heels and Hose Day, Print Dress Day, during which cess Print was chosen, and a Date with Dad, which all contributed successful year at Weber High School.
