The student council, consisting of student representatives from each advisory class in the school, meets whenever necessary to discuss and solve problems and difficulties pertaining to the improvement of our school. The representatives are chosen at the beginning of the school year by the process of voting in each homeroom class. & This council is actually a miniature democracy and provides the students with the right to express their own opinions through representation. The problems most commonly discussed are dances, assemblies, the parking conditions, accumulation of paper in the halls and behavior in the lunch line. Mrs. Ida Draayer and Mr. Glen Ward are the faculty advisors with Mr. Metcalf in a supervisory role.
