Show 304 College of Science Biology Composite Teaching (BS) Program Prerequisite: Must meet the Teacher Education admission and licensure requirements (see Teacher Education Department). Minor: Not required. Grade Requirements: A grade of "C" or better in courses required for this major (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable). Credit Hour Requirements: This major requires 120-124 credit hours. The student must also complete requirements for a secondary education license as determined by the Jerry and Vicki Moyes College of Education. Advisement Teaching majors are encouraged to consult with advisors in both the College of Science (call 801-626-6160) and the College of Education (call 801-626-6269). These should be discussed in advance with the advisor. Zoology (BS) Program Prerequisite: Not required. Minor: Required. Grade Requirements: Zoology majors must have an average GPA of 2.00 or higher. Students are required to earn a grade of "C" in each prerequisite course before taking the next course. Zoology majors must have a grade of "C-" or better in all courses that satisfy specific requirements for the major. Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for graduation; 40 of these are required within Zoology. A total of 40 upper division hours is required (courses number 3000 and above); 32 of these are required within the major. Advisement All Zoology students are encouraged to meet with a faculty advisor at least annually for course and program advisement. The department secretary can also assist students.
