Professor of Botany, Zoology, Hygiene and Bacteriology Candidates for the A.A. degree must complete 90 hours of approved work. This must include English 1 and 2, Physical Education, and 10 hours in each of the following groups: Exact Science, Social Science, Language, Biological Science. Candidates for the S.B. degree must complete 183 hours of approved work. This must include English 1 and 2, Physical Education and 13 hours in each of the following groups: Mathematics and Physical Science, Social Science, Biological Science, Language. Equipment. The equipment in this department consists of simple and compound microscopes, microtome, sterilizers, glassware, stains, chemicals, slides, and a considerable amount of plant and animal material. During the present year there has been added a high grade Stereop- ticon adapted for both transparent and opaque objects and a high power microscope. BOTANY Botany 1. General Botany. A survey of the subject is made which covers the history, functions and structure of the main forms of plant life.
