Three credit hours. CHORUS WORK Music 20. Girls1 Glee Club. A practical application of recognized standard principles in singing. Prerequisite: voice examination. Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. Two credit hours a quarter. Music 21. Men's Glee Club. A practical application of recognized standard principles in singing. Prerequisite: voice examination. Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. Two credit hours a quarter. Music 22. Mixed Chorus. A combination of Boys' and Girls' Glee Clubs. This chorus will work in close cooperation with the concert work of the Ogden Tabernacle Choir. Autumn, Winter, Spring quarters. One credit hour. BAND AND ORCHESTRA Music 80. Band. Standard band music consistent with the musical ability of the Band's personnel will be studied. The band will function prominently in the gay-glad student activities of college life. College songs, vigorous marches and brilliant band selections will comprise the best part of this department's music study. Open to WEBER COLLEGE 69 all players upon band instruments. Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. Two credit hours each quarter. Music 31. Orchestra. A sincere study of music consistent with the musical ability of the personnel. Special attention is given to playing in ensemble; opportunity is afforded pupils for experience in accompanying. Open to all players upon orchestral instruments. Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. Two credit hours each quarter. Music 32. String Chamber Music. This class will meet twice each week for practice and will be required to play at recitals whenever called upon. This work affords an opportunity to aspiring young violinists to study works of the best composers. Open to all students. One credit hour each quarter. PRIVATE STUDY Music 40. Piano. Credits given in this course are in accordance with the examinations issued by the Art Publication Society of St. Louis, Leopold Godowsky, editor. Mr. Hinchcliff is a member of this Society and uses the Progressive Art Series exclusively. Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. Credit hours, one to three as earned. |
