Five credit hours. Art 4- Color. Lectures and laboratory work dealing with the use of colors. Five credit hours. Art 5. Introductory Design. Principles of design and color. Five credit hours. Art 6. Advanced Design. Lectures and laboratory work dealing with design motives and the application of principles of design. Five credit hours. WEBER COLLEGE 71 DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY AND ANTHROPOLOGY HEarvey Leslie Taylor, A.B., A.M: Professor of Scociology Candidates for the A.A. Degree in this department must complete 90 hours of approved work. This must include Sociology 1, 2, 3 and 10 additional hours from the Social Science group; also, English 1 and 2, Physical Education, and in addition 10 hours from each of the following groups: Exact Science group, Language group, Biological Science group. Candidates for the A.B. Degree must complete 183 hours of approved work. This must include English 1 and 2, Physical Education and 13 hours from each of the following groups: Mathematics and Physical Science, Social Science, Language and Biological Science. Every student must select not later than the beginning of the Junior year a major subject in which at the time of Graduation he must have completed approved work amounting to 36 to 45 credit hours. SOCIOLOGY Sociology 1. Elementary Principles of Sociology. General course including an account of the development of society and the group; isolation and social contact; social forces, competition and assimilation; social Control; collective behavior; and social progress. Autumn and Winter. Five credit hours. Professor Taylor. Sociology 2. Rural. General exposition of village and farm life; the experiences of frontier Mr. Taylor at gila College during the year 1928-29. |
