OCR Text 82 WEBER COLLEGE DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS Doctrine and Covenants I. Sections 1-20. This course is a survey of the preparation of the world for the Dispensation of the Fullness of Time. The contents of the Doctrine and Covenants are previewed, and a technical study of Sections 1-20 is made. Autumn Quarter. Two quarter hours. Doctrine and Covenants 2. Sections 21-100. This course presents a technical study of sections 21-100. The course will be correlated with Church and national history. Each section will be given a historical or personal setting to give it a proper background and thereby impress the students with the motivating forces behind each revelation. As the course progresses the evolution of the government, institutions and doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will be emphasized. Winter Quarter. Two quarter hours. Doctrine and Covenants 3. Sections 101-136. This course concludes the study of the Doctrine and Covenants. It presents a technical study of Sections 101 to 136. The same methods of study will be pursued here as in courses 1 and 2. The course will conclude with a summarization and a technical development of subjects treated in the Doctrine and Covenants such as Church Organization, Prisethood, Creation, Marriage, First Principles, etc. Spring Quarter. Two quarter hours. CHAPEL Chapel exercises are held daily. The attendance of all students is required. WEBER COLLEGE 83 DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND ENGINEERING MERLON L. STEVENSON CHARLES ANSON OSMOND MATHEMATICS Candidates for the Associate of Science degree in Mathematics must meet the prescribed entrance requirements and complete ninety-three quarter hours of approved work, exclusive of Bible Literature. Requirements for Entrance Units are required as follows: English 3, Algebra 1 1/2, Plane Geometry 1, Solid Geometry or Trigonometry 1/2, History I, Science 1, Electives 7. Students who present the full number of units but lack one unit in Mathematics may take this requirement in college.
