Show I should mention here that one of those seven sired by George is just plain Parmer Fuller, musician extraordinaire who conducted the orchestra and composed the music for the 1985 Grove Play "Solferino". He didn't qualify for the numbers game because they shorted him a "William'' for a first name. Years later but again introducing the head table: "George Fuller - Brother, Unemployed Philosopher, Frustrated Psychiatrist "He can explain you to you but I'm not so sure about him to him. When I was elected director of this institution, if you'll pardon the expression, George was convinced that it was another case of mistaken identity. "John Fuller - Brother "Invited mainly because I thought he wouldn't come. Actually he has invited me to be his guest skiing this weekend which is very thoughtful of him considering I've only got one hip. So, John, this is the least I could do for you." At the President's dinner with Wally Baird going out and Roy Folger coming in: Quote "Even though I was horrified when I first heard what the Nominating Committee had done, after checking the roster of past Presidents, Folger didn't look so bad - and a quick look at tonight's head table will confirm my judgement. I must say, however, that after a piano player, a bookkeeper and an insurance salesman, the work of future nominating committees has been made easier. They have no place to go but up. . . . The best way to look at what confronts us is not that we've gained a Folger but rather that we have lost a Baird." And then in the same speech zeroing in on Folger, Parmer says: "In any event, however, I think it appropriate that I act as sire at this dinner; after all, Roy and I have much in common.
