Show Pg. 130 The South Morgan Relief Society was organized May 17 – 1868, with Mrs. Ann Fry, President, Jane Eddington and Janet Hogg, Counselors, Esther C. E. Francis, Secretary, Harriet Welch, Treasurer. The first members were: Jessie Hogg. Louisa Budd, Eliza Bradt, Mary Hoar, Emma Kingston, Emily Holliday, Emma Hemming, Betsy C. Tucker, Judith Anderson, Flora Jane Bull, Elizabeth Richardson, Ann Chapin, Hannah Lerwill, Johanna Metz, Mary Richardson, Caroline Graffiths, Rachel Guner, Sophia Ross, Catherin Dean, Caroline Ager, Amelia Slade, Elizabeth Lithbrook, Mary Ann Burn, Maria Holbrook, Annie Turner, Ann Littlefield, Aroline Arave, Lucinda Miller, Ann Darke, Jane Toomer, Sister Bull, Sophronia Bull, Lizzie Bull, Lydia Rich, Martha Richards, Lizzie Wells, Maria Little. In 1879, Aug 4th, Mrs. Rollo was released from the Stake Presidency and Mrs. Martha Touks appointed. The Stake officers of the Relief Society labored faithfully for many years. They were succeeded by the Mrs. Maryette Waldron, President, Nettie Durrant and Martha Heiner Counselors, and Annie W. Clark Secretary. Pg. 131 The first Stake Sunday School Superintendent, after the organization of the Stake, was John K. Hall, his counselors being John Croft and James R. Stuart. John S. Barrett, Secretary. Mutual Improvement Association. The Young Mens’ Mutual Improvement Association was organaized with W. G. Brough, Supt. John H. Dickson and Joseph Durrant Assistants. The Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Association of Morgan Stake was organized Aug 18, 1878, with Sarah A. Rawle as president. In Oct. 1879 Mrs. Rawle resigned and Mrs. Jane Toomer was appointed President, with Jane Crouch and Nina Porter as Counselors. Mrs. Porter resigned and Pricilla Tucker was appointed 2nd Counselor and Flora Rawle, Secretary. Primary Organization. The Primary Organization of Morgan Stake was organized in Stake capacity Oct 25, 1880, with Harriet Welch as President, Rachael Robison and Eliza A. Goodrich Counselors, Lucy Rich. Treasurer, Emma Bell, Secretary Mary L. Welch appointed secretary sometime later.
