The new office information is as follows: Marriott-Slaterville City 1140 West 400 North (Southwest Corner of Bldg. 15C) Phone: 627-1919 Facsimile: 627-1880 SUMMER ACTIVITIES JUNE 2003 EVENTS Evening of Music at the Park Bring your family to the marriott Park and enjoy beautiful music, local talent, and socialize with friends and family. No charge for this event. Featuring: Bob Hirschi, Slaterville Primary Choir, and The Pastels. Date: June 9 Time: 7:00 p.m. Place: Marriott Park Bring: lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks. Summer Tennis Lessons. The Parks & Recreation Division will provide tennis lessons this summer. Steven Ito will be the tennis instructor. Steven recently completed his Level 3 tennis certification with the U.S. Professional Tennis Association. Steven is married, works at McKay-Dee Hospital, and is a student at Weber State. Steven has agreed to lower his normal rates for the MSC tennis program. Registration: Thursday, June 4 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the city office. Cost: $10 per hour, (normally a private lesson is $20 per hour) Groups: up to 4 people per lesson may be taught together and equally divide the cost. But there are two courts, so 8 people may play at the same time. Lessons: will be held Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until noon and will run from June 19 until mid-August. Location: the lessons will be at the DDO tennis courts on BDO. Free Tennis for Seniors. Free tennis lessons will be offered to MSC senior citizens (55+) starting June 19 and going until mid-August. Rackets will be provided to seniors. Lessons will be held each week on Thursday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at the DDO courts. Call Jim Ito at 731-6777 if you are interested. JULY 2003 EVENTS July 2nd - Get Teed-off: The Fifth Annual Golf Tournament Time: 4:30 p.m. Place: Mulligan's Golf Course. Cost: $10 (includes green fees). July 3rd - Dinner and Karaoke Time: Dinner at 7 p.m., Karaoke at 8 p.m. Place: Slaterville Park July 4th - Celebrate America 8:00 a.m. Breakfast: Marriott and Slaterville Parks. 11:00 a.m. PARADE! From 700 South on 1200 West to Marriott Park. 12:00 noon: Lunch, contests, and games. July 7th - Am Evening of Music at the Park Bring your family to the Marriott Park and enjoy beautiful music, local talent, and socialize with friends and family. No charge.
