Show Future Farmers of America The FFA OFFICERS are Don Hadfield, Sentinel; Brent Taylor, Vice President; Ike Kawaguchi, Treasurer; Frank Slater, Reporter; Dean _ Slater, Secretary and Kent Van Kampen, President. Any group with such varied functions as the F.F.A. must certainly have an alert group of officers and advisors, and our Weber Chapter is no exception. The Weber High School Chapter of the F.F.A. is the largest in the state of Utah, and well it should be for during the past 27 years it has grown continuously both in curriculum and extracurricular activities. The officers have taken a profound interest in the advancement of the club; this year sending Kent, their president, to Kansas City, Missouri for the national convention. They held several competitive activities this year evidenced by the stock judging, dairy judging, parliamentary procedure, crop judging and stock shows held in this area. In the annual public speaking event Kent Van Kampen took top honors and in so doing qualified for the regional meet which was held March 10. On the Social side, the Harvest Ball and Flower Show was one of the social highlights of assembly, the year, rounded the Fathers and Sons banquet, out a year of activity and and the radio program and progress.
