Show 102 WEBER COLLEGE BACTERIOLOGY Bacteriology 1. General Bacteriology. A course designed to cover the fundamental principles and facts of bacteriology. The industrial, economic, and sanitary importance of these facts and principles will be studied. Three lectures and two laboratories. Spring Quarter. Five credit hours. HYGIENE Hygiene 8. School Hygiene. Designed to meet state requirements in health education. As far as practical all phases of the work are intensified and made practicable by laboratory experiment and demonstration. Required for a state certificate. Winter or Spring Quarters. Three credit hours. Animal Husbandry. This course is designed to acquaint the student with breeds and types of farm animals, their care and management and their adapt ibility to local condition. Judging of horses, beef cattle, dairy cattle and crops will be given. Three lectures and two laboratory periods. Winter Quarter. Five credit hours. Agriculture 2. Agronomy. Consideration will be given of our commonly grown farm crops and of soil types—their origin and fertility. Judging of the common varieties will be given. Three lectures and two laboratory periods. Spring Quarter. Five credit hours. Agriculture 8. Horticulture. This course deals with the common varieties of fruits and vegetables, their care and management and local adaptability. Training in judging will be given. Three lectures and two laboratory periods. Fall Quarter. Five credit hours. |
