These courses taken at the graduate level may also be used as electives for the MEd degree. See the Department of Teacher Education or the Master of Education Office for more details. Grade Requirements: A GPA of 3.00 or better in courses used toward the minor in addition to an overall GPA of 3.00 or higher. Credit Hour Requirements: 17 credit hours required. Elementary Education Departmental Honors Please contact the Teacher Education Department for advisement and permission prior to enrolling in Honors courses. Program Prerequisite: Enroll in the General Honors Program and complete at least 9 credit hours of general Honors courses. Grade Requirements: Maintain an overall GPA of 3.3. Credit Hour Requirements: Fill the requirements of the Elementary Education major, of which at least 12 credit hours in the professional education sequence, education support courses, or graduate courses must be taken for Honors credit. All 3000 level and above courses may be considered by the student for his/her course of study.
