The course content and activities prepare lifeguard candidates to recognize emergencies, respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drownings and other incidents. The course also teaches other skills and individual needs to become a professional lifeguard. Upon successful completion of this course participants will be certified in American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer and Lifeguard Training. Prerequisite: Skills screening will be required.
