Show GLENN “ICE MIKE” MICHAEL MARTIN 1959-2022 Glenn Michael Martin (THE ORIGINAL OG or ICE MIKE) was born on April 24, 1959 in Ogden Utah as the beloved son of Willetta Fern Thomas-Martin and Alex Glenn Martin Glenn attended schools in Ogden Utah and Los Angeles CA. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad (UPR) as a train conductor and retired after 17 years of service. Glenn was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints (LDS). He believed in life after this physical world. We look forward to seeing him again! Glenn was a fan of the LA Raiders. Glenn often wore his raiders gear and proudly would discuss any details about the team, players or game stats with you upon request! He was so smart and intelligent he retained info like no one else. His children and grandchildren gave him great peace. He was very proud of each of them and would consistently brag about them. One of the many things that we love about Glenn is his great energy, His smile and jovial heartwarming laugh. Glenn would always make the best of situations so that everyone around him would feel better. Even if he were going through a rough time he remained grounded in his mind to stay upbeat. Glenn loved music and would always play his favorite tunes. He really loved his music! From Led Zeppelin, The | Stones, the Dramatics, Elton John, The Police, Neil Young, Dr. Dre, etc We could often see and hear him walking around the house singing loudly and off key -LOL Everyone in Glenn’s life was positively affected by his contagious personality and the fact that he would always bring love and laughter to any situation. Glenn leaves behind his wife Sharon Washington-Martin from Ruston Louisiana, his previous wife Debbie Coleman-Martin from Los Angeles CA and Darla Barlow from Dallas Texas He leaves behind his siblings; Carolynn Elizabeth Martin, Lynda Patricia Martin, Green Sterling Forte, Tarrazzia | | Martin-Shackelford-St. Clair and Rosalynn Forte Pettis. Glenn’s legacy includes his children; Ariel Marie Martin Porter from Los Angeles CA, Glenn Michael Martin II from Las Vegas NV, Tyler Martin and Melvin Martin from Dallas Texas, Glenmeka Washington from Ruston Louisiana and Terrell Stevenson from Ogden Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Vivian Cecile Martin-Williams Glenn's grandchildren include; King Porter, Airyn, Martin, Naomi Martin, Kaiden Martin, Kyree Martin, Kamryn Martin, Kehlani Martin, Mia Martin and Kennedy Washington The celebration of Glenn’s life will be held in Ogden Utah at Embry Chapel AME Church at 10am on June 17, 2022. | |
