9/18/23, 9:42 AM Obituary for Leonard Clayton Harris | Myers Mortuary & Cremation Services Leonard Clayton Harris, 73, passed away September 9, 2023. leonard was born January 5, 1950 in Ogden, UT to Mr. George Clayton Harris & Mae Quilla Harris-Mitchell. He attended Ogden City Schools & New Orleans City Schools. Leonard worked for Enabled Industries & Auto Leaf in Ogden, Utah. He was a dedicated member of New Zion Baptist Church and a member of the choir. Leonard was a proud member of the Eagle Scouts and earned many badges and recognition awards throughout his Eagle Scout service. Leonard loved Miss Janet Jackson of the dedicated fan of the Utah Jazz Basketball league. Leonard enjoyed his adventurous but most of all spending quality time with Jackson 5 and anything to do with Janet. He was also a team and an avid bowler with his friends on the bowling travels to Disneyland and visiting family across the country his best friend Kissey the Cat. Leonard is survived by his brothers and sister Roxie E. Madison (San Diego, CA), Allen Walton (Philadelphia, PA), Ray Harris (New York, NY), Ernest Mitchell Jr. (New Mexico). He is also survived by his cousins Ethel J. Collins (Rocklin, CA), Corlis (Carl) J. Allen (Montgomery, AL), Carice’ L. (Will) Nunn (Fort Campbell, KY/TN), Derek D. Farrar II (Bothell, WA), in addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. George Clayton Harris and Mae Quilla HarrisMitchell, sister and brothers Louis Harris, James Walton, Mae Mitchell, aunts and uncles Martha and Juanita Graham, J.W. Sanders, Ethel M. Sanders-Johnson, Dorothy M. Works-McDonald, Edith WorksBeatty, extended family member Dovie Goodwin. Viewing services for Leonard will be held Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, September 22, 2023 @ 11:00 am at New Leonard will be laid to rest at Ogden City Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 6-8pm at Myers Utah. Funeral services for Leonard will be held Friday, Zion Baptist Church, 2935 Lincoln Ave, Ogden, Utah. Cemetery. Leonard’s service will be live streamed.
