Stewart Pastor Trustee Tamara Larry Chairman of Trustees Resolution of Respect Brother Leonard Clayton Harris Sunrise - January 05, 1950 cs Sunset - September 09, 2023 Whereas, in the great economy of Divine Providence, God has called home one of His faithful servants, Brother Leonard Clayton Harris. We, the Officers, and members of the New Zion Baptist Church feel that it is befitting to express our heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Brother Leonard Clayton Harris, as you gather to bid a Christian farewell to our brother in Christ Jesus. Whereas, Brother Leonard Clayton Harris faithfully served as a member of the New Zion Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He loved his church and over the years attended Worship service, various programs, events, and activities; he served as a member of the New Zion Choir Ministry and as a youngster, in many youth ministries. During his tenure, he was a wonderful member and it was evident that he greatly loved and valued his church family. Whereas, it is our desire to embrace his family and loved ones because all of us have a common bond that will connect us for the rest of our lives through Jesus Christ. Whereas, that while we mourn his departure from us, we do bow in humble submission to the will of God who never makes a mistake. We thank our Heavenly Father for his life among us. Therefore, be it resolved, that it is our prayer that these words of the Apostle Paul will continue to comfort you in the months and years to come: In I Thessalonians 4:14-18, Paul reminds us; “for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. Rejoice, knowing that Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people, and that in the appointed time, “the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the triumph of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord.” Be it further resolved, that a copy of this resolution is provided to the family and a copy placed in the archives of the New Zion Baptist Church. “I go to prepare a place for you.” [John 14:2] In the matchless Name of Jesus Christ, Le ue, Br cadnar/ Sister Tricia A.
