Show WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2023 | A7 Cleona Mae Thomas Collins Cleona Mae Thomas Collins entered eternal peace and rest at the Medical: Center in Bossier, LA, on September 18, 2023. Cleona was born on December 11, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Cleveland Thomas and the late Frankie Grace Fullilove Thomas Scott. She grew up with her brother Cleveland Oliver, Jr., sisters Mabel (Edmonds-Gilbert, Alice Sue (Dockett) and stepsis- * ter, Emily (Cone). Cleona attended St. Louis Public Schools, Soldan High School and Harris Stowe Teachers College; and, was a star athlete, participating in local, state, regional track © and field events. She was a member of the Girls Athletic Association (GAA). _ Cleona was the beloved wife of Clem Collins ITI, Haughton, LA and the adored mother of Staff Set. Marshall W. Parker (Ret.) (Kelli), South Jordan, UT, General Brandon D. Parker (Allison), Honolulu, HI and Clem Collins IV (Shavoni), Tulsa, OK. She leaves to cherish her memories - her loving grandchildren - Rae en Kennedy, Madison, Miles, Pierce, Ella, Reis, Gabrielle, Avery, Clem V and her Legacy of Love by family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on September 30, 2023, at the Unity Baptist Church, 1170 West 1000 North, Salt Lake City, Utah, a viewing for friends and family will be held one hour prior to the services at the church; interment at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. Immediately following the interment, the family will receive friends at the church. | |
