Show “THE STORY OF SHARMEA” Once upon a time in a dismal chateau of Sharmante lived a radiant princess named Sharmea. Of all princesses, she was the loveliest, and yet of all madamoiselles, she was the most selfish. She thought only of herself, only of her dreams and only of her happiness. To Sharmente one day, there came a dashing knight who was called Francois, Knight of the Golden Lamb. Sharmea’s beauty enveloped him, and although the arrow of cupid struck deeply within her, her selfishness and vanity clouded his love. As the days passed by, he realized that her degrading qualities would eventually destroy their love and Francois decided to leave Sharmante. Before he left he placed the Fleur De Lys in Sharmea’s hair and said to her, “When the beauty and radiance that dwell upon the surface of thy body shall dwell within thee, I shall be waiting with deathless love that burns within my heart.” In the days that followed his departure, Sharmea realized that her love for Francois could conquer her selfishness and vanity. She set out in search of Francois and arrived first at the village of Savoir. In the village of Savoir she did not find Francois, but in his stead she found Knowledge, Knowledge to know what is right and good, and thus continued on her way. In the next village of HEUREUSE, Sharmea again did not find Francois, but happiness, Happiness in her association with others. From Heureuse, she journeys to AMITIE where friendship flourished around her. Her Sharmea gained friendship, man’s most precious gift. Sharmea continued on to the village of REVE. In this village she developed a dream, a dream that embodied an ideal towards which she was striving. Still in search of Francois, Sharmea reached the town of MAIN where she saw the hand of welcome stretch before her, a welcome that banished any selfishness or vanity left within her. In the next village, ESPOIR, Sharmea gained Hope, hope that gave her Courage and a hope that lead her to the village of Amour. In the village of AMOUR, Sharmea’s search came to an end. In Amour she found Love, a love for friends, a love for all that enhances Life’s beauty. And in Amour she found him, and with the radiance of Fleur De Lys, Sharmea walked in beauty towards Francois. |
