Show International Students Organize VISA Foreign students organized the Visiting International Students Association during winter quarter. Its purpose was to keep the foreign students better informed and promote good will and understanding between countries and their people. Twenty-nine students from 13 different countries joined the group. President was Abdul Majeed Suleman. Other officers were Oscar DeCastro Rodriquez, vice president, and Hilda Flores, secretary. Emil O. Hanson advised the association. Dr. Dello Dayton presents certificate to Jim Spiers, who heads the flag-raising ceremony, while other ROTC officers look on. ROTC Initiates Flag Ceremony The Reserve Officers Training Corps of WSC initiated a daily flag raising ceremony which was coordinated with the playing of the national anthem over the campus loud speakers. The Army and Air Force ROTC groups offered programs for junior students to fulfill military requirements while completing their education. Abdul Majeed Sulleman is first president of VISA.
