LD Captures Royalty Titles LaDianaeda's First Place Homecoming float helped the Swabbies begin a successful year of club and school activities. In December they co-sponsored the "Snowball" with Phoenix where Janet Stephenson, the current Miss Weber State, was crowned queen. At an impressive torchlight ceremony, another Swabbie, Susie Bell, was crowned Snow Carnival Queen where she also took first place in the Women's Ski Division. L.D.'s version of "Red Sails in the Sunset" and their original "Everything's Shipshape" won them second place in the annual Songfest. Throughout the year the sisters of L.D. proved their popularity as they won numerous royalty titles. Cathy Clay served as President of L.D. and Myrene Van Dyke was the club advisor. LaDianaeda's Float for the Homecoming Parade took First Place Trophy in the Women's Division.
