Show Editor's Page It wasn't easy, but we did it. And it was a learning experience to work together in planning a book which would serve the student-body as a memory album, reference volume, and public relations medium. Each staffer contributed - some more than others. Edie Forsgren devoted many hours and almost singly produced the sports section. Sherry Hoyt and Leanne Ragland deserve recognition for their contributions. The advice and patience of Peggy Quist, and Max and Lorin Wheelwright was invaluable. An additional learning situation was our association with the administration and advisors. Curtis Smout rolled up his sleeves and helped finish delinquent sections. Mr. Rabe and his staff worked on weekends to fill heavy picture orders. Dr. Foulger, Dean Dayley, Mr. DeBoer and Mr. Shepherd assisted in other ways. As we recorded the year's events, we noted rapid growth in the college building program, with construction beginning on the new stadium, science building and union building addition. Plans were made for the high-rise residence halls, administration building and other campus structures. We noted the expansion and curriculum and reorganization of divisions into four schools. We noted the constitutional convention and increased student interest in extra-curricular functions. In short, we noted a new measure of progress in all areas of campus activity. It was the activity of ONE GENERATION PREPARING FOR ANOTHER. We were proud to be a part of it. Bob Hunter, Editor "One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh . . . The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down." Ecclesiastes 1:4-5 |
