Show ASWSC Dear President Student, We welcome you to Weber State College. We are excited at the potential that wes for this coming year. Never before has Weber State College been as great as| students, faculty and administration have made her now. Weber State is one oft largest colleges in the United States. The quality of education that is offered by h h is comparable to University standards. We are proud of what Weber State comm has become, but we are not satisfied to remain at our present level. The year that before us will see many goals accomplished, many challenges overcome and mu progress made. q Weber State College will not reach a point of greatness, because she can alwal y be greater. Her greatness lies in the greatness of her students and faculty. We as ASWSC Officers will be continually evaluating, upgrading and improving our programs and activities. Take advantage of every opportunity tc prepare yourself for your future in as many areas and in as many ways as you ca in As we work together, we can make this your, “ASWSC: Building for the Future,”* § aa milestone in our lives. a a THE EXECUTIVE OFFICERS ASWSC Lori Memmott ' In the President is vested the executive power of ASWSC. Lori as president, is responsible for all executive functions. The President is accouritable to the administration and the Institutional Council and as such serves as the chief liason to these groups for all functions of ASWSC. She is the official representative of the studentbody to the administration, faculty and the community. Lori is the Chairman of the Legislative Council and acts to insure the effectiveness of the legislative council meetings. She is responsible for all other members of the legislative council. She works closely with and helps to correlate the work of the six vicepresidents. The ASWSC President along with the President of the college serve jointly as cochairmen of the Student Administrative Forum. She is the Chairman of the Campus Correlation committee and is a member of the Board of Directors that oversees the ' Utah Intercollegiate Assembly, the Utah Student Association and the WSC Public Affairs Board. She is a voting member of the Weber State College Institutional Council, amember of the Utah Council of Studentbody Presidents, Weber State Administrative Council member, a member of both the College Planning Council and the Student Services Planning Council. Lori also serves as a member of the Big Sky Studentbody Presidents Council, Dee Event Center Advisory committee, the Athletic Board and the Commencement Committee, and the Weber State Alumni Board of Directors. The president serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Ogden Area Chamber of Commerce, ex-officio member of the Ogden City Council, and ex-officio member of the Union Policy Board. She serves in many other cheapie in relationship to all student concerns. Lori is in charge of and responsible for the Supreme Court and all their functions, Student Development projects, Assistants to the President, Student Leadership Convention and the Student Leadership Training Institute. : Lori is a Senior majoring in Education.
