Show Call to Worship Devotion - "Deacons" in charge Welcome Response The Occasion Musical Selection: Guest Choir A&B Selection Offering Introduction of The Guest Preacher On Sunday, November 23, 1991, the members of the Second Unity Missionary Baptist church were led by the Spirit of the living God to extend a call to the man then known as: "Reverend" Gregory Michael Davis, Sr. to be come their pastor. Since that time, it has been evident that the hand of the Lord is on this ministry, its people and this great man of God. In less than twelve months, the church moved into its current edifice. "Rev." Davis’ uncompromising allegiance to the full and complete Word of God created in him a desire to further define who we are and where we stand in the body of Christ. To that end, we formally became known as the Second Unity Full Gospel Baptist Church on Sunday September 20, 1992, just Special Guest: Samuel Myles: Gospel Music Recording Artist Speaker Invitation to Christian Disclipleship Ordination Induction Ceremony to the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship BY: Bishop Gregory Davis Remarks Closing/Benediction before moving into our new sanctuary. On September 17, 1993, "Rev." Davis was appointed by Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr. as the FIRST State Overseer for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. Due to his hard work and dedication, Bishop Morton and the Bishop's Council of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship then consecrated Overseer Davis to the sacred office of State Bishop on November 14, 1994. He was the first overseer to be elevated to this higher position. In February, 1995 the Bishop's Council again found favor in Bishop Davis with the help of the Holy Spirit; and appointed him to the office of Auxiliary Bishop, as the General Overseer of the FGBCE. This appointment was in response to the phenomenal growth within the FGBCF; and the subsequent need to maintain effective lines of communications with more than 35 State Overseers. Bishop Davis, and Co-Pastor Kim Davis, serve faithfully as our leaders. Both have a great missionary zeal for this community and the Church, as do our six Elders and five Ministers. They labor together to bring in the harvest around us. |
