Pastor France Davis Recessional Interment immediately following the service at: Memorial Estates 6500 South Redwood Road and brother James preceded him in death. On May 20, 1943, Theodore married Lillian Mitchell in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1943, Lillian and Theodore moved to Salt Lake City to join other family members. Their union was blessed with the joy of one daughter, Janet Twiggs Martin. After 50 years of companionship, Lillian preceded him in death in May of 1993. Theodore united with the Calvary Baptist Church and was active in Christian service for over 40 years. At various times, he served as Chairman of the Deacon’s Board and president of the Usher's Board. He was also active in the Christian community as a member of the Intermountain Baptist Association and the Western States Convention. He remained an active participant on Calvary’s Deacon’s Board at the time of his death. He and his wife Lillian provided much love, support, and wise guidance to a generation of young people. His enthusiasm and support continued even when failing health Slowed his steps. He was always available for fishing and conversation. Those left to celebrate his life and mourn his passing include his daughter, Janet Martin (SLC), sister, Sattie Etherly (SLC), brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Gladys Hesleph (SLC), sister, Lillie Mae Nixon (Maryland), and a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, and friends. He was a Christian man, a good father, uncle, brother. and friend who touched many hearts and contributed to many lives. We are blessed to have had him on our lives. |
