CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (CLT) ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE (A.A.S.) » Program Prerequisite: Students must meet with a CLS faculty advisor, complete the pre-application courses listed under the Admission Requirements below and make application by May 1st of the year they with to enter the program. Refer to Admission Requirements below. » Grade Requirements: A grade of "C+" or better in all CLS courses. A grade of "C-" or better in all support courses. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 68 credit hours is required for graduation , 34 of these are required CLS courses, 22 are required support courses, and 12 are required general education Advisement It is to the student's advantage to meet with a CLS faculty advisor prior to beginning the program curriculum. All clinical laboratory science students are required to meet with a faculty advisor prior to application. The program will not accept the student's application until this requirement is met. Advisement with a CLS faculty advisor. 2. Declare 2AP CLT Applicant as your program of study. 3. Complete the following requirements with a letter grade: 1 of of the following courses in chemistry Chem PS/SI 1110 Elementary Chemistry (5) Chem PS/SI 1210 Principles of Chemistry (5) 1 course in biomedical core HthSci LS 1110 Biomedical Core (4) or Zool 2200 Human Physiology (4) 1 course torn the following Chem SI 1120 Chem SI 1220 HthSci 1111 orZool 2100 or Phsx PS/SI 1010 CLS 1113/113L Elementary Organic/Biochemistry (5) Principles of Chemistry II (5) Biomedical Core Lab (4) Human Anatomy (4) Intro to Physics (3) Intro to Clinical Lab Practices (4) Submit application and a non-refundable $20 fee to DCHPAdmission and Counseling office by May 1.
