Show Planning Commission Agenda Tuesday, November 14, 2000, at 7:00 PM (changed from first to second Tuesday to avoid election day, Nov. 7th): 1. Call to order. Approve minutes from prior meeting. Report regarding Wasatch Front Council. 4. Discussion/Action regarding on recommendation for zoning ordinance changes for Design Review Zoning. 5. Discussion/Action on recommendation for Ordinance 2000-22 entitled "Architecture, Landscaping, and Screening" implementing development standards, landscaping, and design and fencing requirements promoting rural and natural visual aesthetics. 6. Discussion/Action on recommendation Ordinance 2000-23 entitled "Community Forestry and Vegetation" as the tree ordinance for the area to provide for community forestry and vegetation control. 7. Discussion/Action on recommendation for Ordinance 2000-30 for planning for Moderate Income Housing. 8. Cancellation of the regular meeting on Tuesday, November 21st due to the Thanksgiving holiday later in the week. 9. Adjourn. Notice: the above agendas are only tentative. Council meetings are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Thursday at 6:00 PM each month. The Planning Commission meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month at 7:00 PM. Some meetings may be canceled. AT&T Cable Television. The city received a letter from AT&T saying that starting November 30, 2000, AT&T will discontinue the current digital packages to introduce the new "Digital Value Packages" programing. These new packages will have more options. Contact AT&T for more information. ? County Dump Cards. For questions on the obtaining a county dump card for the waste transfer station call Alison Towbridge at 777-9011. The City does not operate the county dump/waste transfer station. ? New Reel Assembly. The Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit for a wooden reel assembly business at 1735 W 250 S. The business is limited in operation hours, wood part assembly only, no on-site sales, no visiting clientele, with limited storage and traffic. ? Animal Services. Weber County Animal Services handles all animal control for the city. All dog and kennel licenses go through them, and they take care of removal of dead animals on the roads. If you have any questions call 399-8244. ? Happy Halloween. Have a safe and happy Halloween! HELP WANTED! ? Deputy Recorder. The city is looking for someone to fill the position of Deputy Recorder. This duties of this position entail taking minutes at all city meetings, and assisting the City Recorder with assigned duties. If you are interested in this position please contact Bill Morris at 627-1919. There is a stipend of $20 per meeting paid and training is provided. ? Sub-for-Santa. Program director and volunteers for the Sub-for-Santa program are needed. Please contact Duncan Murray at 627-1919 if you are interested. ? Service Workers. Community service workers are needed by the New Day Christian Resource for Life Center. The center helps victims of drug or alcohol abuse, and domestic violence. Please contact Rev. Ray Sarter at 392-9123 for more information. UNITED STATES POST OFFICE MESSAGE There has been some question about the proper addressing of mail for Marriott-Slaterville residents and businesses. Proper addressing will ensure that your mail arrives sooner. To help residents and businesses correctly address mail, the United States Post Office sent the city office a letter, a summary of which is reproduced for as follows: Dear Mayor Butler; Changes were made to the National ZIP Code Directory on October 4, 2000, to facilitate the use of "MSC, UT" in both 84404 and 84401 ZIP Code areas [Riverside Industrial Park is the only area in the City using the 84401 area code]. Alternate methods of addressing that are also available [to your residents and businesses] in the National ZIP Code Directory as follows: MSC, UT MS City, UT Marriott-Slaterville City, UT Marriott, UT Slaterville, UT Your residents may use any of the above city names with their street address and appropriate ZIP Code.
