Show Sunday 12 93 Helped with work in the morning and practiced 1 hr. Went to meeting in Tabernacle Q. F. Whitney was the speaker. After curch went home with aunt Let & had dinner. Made the acquaintance of Patriarchal W. J. Smith who gave me a patriarchal blessing. Stayed all night with aunt as it is very stormy. Monday 13 93 Do not rest good so get up late have tea with aunt. Take car & arrive at Mrs Hs at 10 A.M. Take my lesson after which call to see E R of Evan Stephens but he is not in. Arrive home at 2 P.M. Iron some & then practice awhile. At 7 P.M. go to see Prof Stevens again but in vain. get home at 8 P.M. Am dissapointed about my vocal lessons. Write to E. I. Tuesday 14 Mrs. C takes very sick in the night. I get up make two fires doctor her get to sleep at 4 A.M. Arise in morning not feeling very well After breakast practice 2 hr. Dress a chicken. Give Phebe her lesson. Make all the beds Practice 1 hr. Help get supper & do up supper work - retire early. Wednesday 15 Arise at 7 A.M. Make three fires & get breakfast. practice 1 hr. Sweep & dust parlor. Do bedroom work. Do up dinner work. Practice 1 hr. Sweep & dust parlor. Do bedroom work. Practice 1 hr. Get Supper help with supper work mix bread Practice some new pieces that Waron brings home retire early. Thursday 16 Arise at 7 A.M. same thing over again. Practice 1 hr. Take music lesson after which go & see Mr. Stevens find him at the gate. Think him very nice but am disappointed as he cannot give me vocal lessons. Have a chat about teachers. H |
