This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show of Ogden and listen to some excellent music take supper there. In the evening attend a Ball in 1st Ward Meeting house & have ice cream with Wm & Ella Wednesday 5 July Paris- Am still at sister Richs place. Edward and I go fishing up Paris Cannon. Take our lunch and have an enjoyable time but no success fishing. Spend the evening at Landon Rs place have a nice visit Thursday 6 July Paris_ Leave Paris in afternoon with Edward, for home via of Warm Springs. Stop at springs and enjoy a bath. Leave there at 9 P.M. for Montpelier. Get home O. K. Friday 7/93 July Montpelier Edward and Jim go fishing up cannon We arrange for a trip to Soda Springs. Spend evening at Mrs Hollands in Cam with pa ma and Edward have a pleasant time. After we come home Edward & I have an in brilant take with Pa & Ma which proves satisfactorily to us. Saturday 8 July Montpelier. Clean house and wash nothing special. Sunday July 9 to /93 Montpelier. Get up late help with work. Loui Bridges calls we go to meeting. Mr. & Mrs Anderson calls in afternoon. I go with them to practice down to Bro. Wallaces. Get home late. Monday 10th July Montpelier. Ma goes off to sew. I go down town shopping. Prepare for Soda trip Iron and cook all day. In the evening Edward comes over expecting to start for Soda next morning. He spends evening with me a pleasant time. Tuesday 11 July. Montpelier This morning Edward takes breakfast with us while eating arrange to go to Warm Springs, so Ma Effie Holmes Edward Lucile and I go to Springs.
