During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Recd letter from Rose H. Friday 7. Apr. Get up at 6 30. Prepare breakfast Prepare to go to dedication of S L. C Temple. Go at 8 oclock A.M. Mid hundresds of friends that hadent seen for sometime Relatives from Ariz. School mates of four yr ago. Listen to Pres. Woodruff testify some wonderfull things revealed to him since the services held in Temple on 6 of Apr. He said that he could or did see Bro Jos Smith and others Bro Taylor Brigham The Savior and all those who were behind the veil and who had been & were now interested in the Holey Temple & they were rejoicing with us over the completion of such a grand and holey building Said he knew the Lord accepted it and that those who had passed away that were interested in the Great Work were rejoicing with us. It is the grandest thing I ever witnessed and I feel thankful for having had the priviledge of attending the dedication. The dedication prayer was offered by Joseph F Smith after which Bro. L Snow lead the Hosana! and was followed by hundreds of voices present. Bro G L. Cannon said that many of the younger people who were present would live to see the day & if worthy meet the Savior in the same Holey place. Said also many who were doing & had done right would go from there feeling joyful for the teachings & revealing recd there while others who were not sincere would go away dissapointed & complaining. Closing prayer by Brigham Young Jr. Singing before dedication prayer & after the Hosana. Before closing prayer. I arrive home at 1.30 P.M. After lunch sweep & dust the two front rooms & hall. |
