Through various activities it encourages substance abuse education, chemically-free social activities, responsible use or abstinence of mind-altering chemicals, healthy interpersonal relationships, and prevention of physical illnesses. These key programs and services are offered through group and one-on-one education, campus and community partnering, campaigns, task forces and coalitions. Education First-Year Education (FYE) classes, other classroom presentations as invited through the "Don't Cancel Class" program or curriculum enhancement, one-on-one sessions, and "First Step" intervention for drug and alcohol violation(s). Education is also provided through health fairs, participation in community and campus campaigns (National Awareness Weeks/Months), and alternative social activities. Students working on research, papers, or presentations are actively supported by this program. Referrals Are accepted from faculty, counseling center, resident halls, student health center, staff and community. Support Groups Support groups for survivors of sexual assault are offered through the counseling center and actively supported by this program as are community-based Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and related groups. Students and spouses with current Wildcard ID are eligible for services. Student Health Insurance is not required to use the Student Health Center.
