Show 32 WEBER COLLEGE - OGDEN, UTAH Deposits BREAKAGE DEPOSITS Breakage deposits are required in the following laboratory courses and in the amounts indicated: Bacteriology $2.00 Chemistry, a quarter 2.00 Physics 21 (Photography) 2.00 Refunds will be made on unused portions of breakage deposit fees. The signature of the laboratory instructor is required to secure any breakage deposit fee refunds. No refunds will be made after June 30 of the school year in which the fees are paid. MISCELLANEOUS DEPOSITS Deposits are required on the following items: Towel tag deposits $.50 Key deposits, each key 50 Towel tag and key deposits will be refunded at the end of the year or upon withdrawal. No refunds will be made after June 30 of the school year in which the fees are paid. Refunds No refunds will be granted to students who are requested to withdraw from the College because of scholarship or any other cause. Registration, tuition, and student activity fees will be refunded to any student in residence who, upon proper application to the Registrar's Office, withdraws from school before the end of the quarter. Refunds of these fees will be made in the same proportion as the number of instructional weeks subsequent to the withdrawal is to the number of instructional weeks in the period covered by the fees paid. Class, Lyceum, Health, Towel and Service fees are not subject to refund. No refunds will be allowed after the eighth week of the quarter. All students when paying fees are given official receipts from the Treasurer's Office. These receipts must be presented before refunds will be allowed. Students, therefore, should exercise care that the receipts are not lost or mislaid. Graduation Requirements Weber College grants the title of Associate of Arts or the title of Associate of Science, and a Certificate of Completion. Students who expect to be graduated should arrange their programs to conform with the requirements for one of these titles. Associate of Arts and Associate of Science Requirements for the title of Associate of Arts or the title of Associate of Science are as follows: Completion of at least ninety quarter hours of approved college work, exclusive of physical education activities and Physical Education 40 or 41. WEBER COLLEGE - OGDEN, UTAH_33 The college work must include: 1. English 1, 2, 3 (To be taken during the freshman year.) 2. Orientation (To be taken during the freshman year.) 3. Physical Education 40 or 41 and three quarters of selected activities. (To be taken during the freshman year.) 4. A total of at least twelve quarter hours from each of the following divisions: Humanities: Art, English, Foreign Languages, Music and Speech. A total of sixteen quarter hours is required from this Division, twelve hours of which must be from English, Foreign Languages, or Speech. (English 1, 2, and 3 may be counted within these twelve hours.) Life Sciences: Agriculture, Bacteriology, Botany, Forestry, Home Economics, Hygiene, Physiology, and Zoology. (Agriculture, Forestry, and Home Economics courses not having biological content will not be counted toward fulfilling requirements in this group.) Mathematics and Physical Sciences: Chemistry, Engineering, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics. (Engineering courses will not be counted toward fulfilling requirements in this group.) Social Sciences: Economics, Education, History, Orientation, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. (Education and Orientation courses will not be counted toward fulfilling requirements in this group.) The titles of Associate of Arts and Associate of Science are designed for college transfer students. Candidates for the title of Associate of Arts must have a minimum of twenty-five quarter hours of one foreign language or its equivalent. (Three high school units of one and the same language satisfy foreign language requirements.) All students contemplating work beyond the bachelor's degree should complete the foreign language requirements in their lower division work. It is recommended that students pursuing a major in the Humanities qualify for the title of Associate of Arts. A total of four quarter hours of laboratory work must be completed in the Life Sciences or the Physical Sciences, or in both. Candidates for the title of Associate of Arts or the title of Associate of Science, who desire training leading to specialization in Agriculture, Business, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Forestry, Home Economics, Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Social Work will find their respective curricula listed on the bellows-fold insert sheet. Certificate of Completion Requirements for the Certificate of Completion are as follows: Completion of at least ninety quarter hours of approved work, exclusive of physical education and Physical Education 40 or 41.
