The course is planned to help students understand and develop confidence in the use of the principles of art in the furnishing of the home. The earth, its rocks and minerals, its surface and subterranean features, their origin and their causes as revealed in land features. Two field trips required. The history of the earth, from its theoretical origin to the present as interpreted from the rocks and their fossil contents. North America, particularly Utah and adjacent areas, is emphasized.
