The victory was the third straight for Ben Lomond in league play and put the Scots into sole Possession of first place. This will only last, however, until the winner of tonight’s Davis-Bonneville game is determined. The winner of that game will share the lead. with the Scots. . It was also the third defeat for Ogden in as many games, but the Tigers forced’ Ben Lomond to use| everything in its offensive and defensive books. The Tigers trailed throughout, but were always within striking distance. | Newn tied it up at 10-10 and Gene Newman’s DID defensive battle for three quarters, then broke open in the final period to turn into a free-scoring tussle. But as the Tigers thawed out, so did Chatlin as he scored 11 of his 26 points in that final quarter. Ogden was eight points behind at halftime, but early in the second half, Jack Loughton picked up field goals from side court, and rugged Frank Ellis picked up eight points as he snared re- bounds and bounced back uy tuck them in.
