Show "BE KINDLY AFFECTIONED ONE TO ANOTHER BROTHERLY LOVE; IN HONOUR PREFERRING ANOTHER," Romans 12:10 Sisters and Brothers of the New Zion Baptist Church: We will observe our Pastor’s First Appreciation Service this week. This occasion will provide us an opportunity to encourage our Pastor and his family, and to say "thanks" for their serving here with us for the past year. We will host a pastoral dinner here at the church at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 1996, and the appreciation service will be held on Sunday, February 11, 1996, at 3:30 p.m. The speaker for the anniversary will be Rev. Dr. David Weeks, Pastor of Shalom Baptist Church, Philadelphia, PA. We need to know how many persons to expect at the dinner, so if you plan to attend please stop in the vestibule on your way home today and give us your name. There is no set amount of finance for individuals or organizations to give. However, we are asking that you give something. Gifts from all organizations as well as from individuals will be presented at the dinner on Friday evening, and we are planning a very spiritual program for Sunday afternoon at which time we will receive a love offering for the Pastor. We are praying that God will truly bless this effort and we are asking for the support of each member of the New Zion Baptist Church. Thank you so much! THE ANNOUNCEMENTS February 4, 1996 WITH ONE The deaconesses will meet tomorrow evening, February 5, 1996, at 6:00 PM. All deaconesses are asked to please attend. Also, the finance committee and trustees are asked to meet with the Pastor tomorrow evening, February 5, 1996, at 7:00 PM. The Deacons are asked to meet with the Pastor on Tuesday evening, February 6, 1996, at 7:00 PM. Business meeting will be held Thursday evening, February 8, 1996, at 7:00 PM. Please come out and help us take care of the Lord’s business. The February session of the IGBA February 10, 1996, at 9:00 AM. will be held on Saturday, Unless otherwise informed, we will meet at the Bethel Baptist Church in Pocatello, Idaho. The New Pilgrim Baptist Church Womens’ Department invites us to their Spring Retreat April 19 and 20, 1996. Preregistration forms are available out in the vestibule. Attention: Friday Night Bible Study will continue to be held on Friday evenings at 6:30. Children’s Bible Study and New Members Orientation Class will be held in the church annex (office).
