It is designed to encourage non-users of drugs and alcohol to continue to be non-users and helps users of drugs and alcohol find appropriate resources for intervention. The program also sponsors awareness activities for the general campus community. An additional component of this program deals with health education and learning to make healthy lifestyle choices. Health Center & Pharmacy Location: Student Service Center, Room 190 Telephone: 801-626-6459 The Student Health Center provides medical care for minor illnesses, immunizations, and some laboratory tests on a walk-in basis. The Health Center is staffed with a board certified physician, registered nurses, a medical technologist, and pharmacist. The physician is available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Student Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (801-626-7924). Health Insurance for Students The student Health Insurance plan exists to supplement the services of the WSU Health Center by providing comprehensive health insurance that meets the needs of most students at economical costs. All of these facilities are clustered on the south side of campus convenient to classes, recreational areas, and commercial developments. It is a student's campus ID which is needed to do things like use the testing center, the gym, and the library. It can be used by students and their dependents and spouse to admit them into Weber State Athletic events, Student Programming Board activities, and the Swenson gym. There is a $5.00 card fee for each card. Dependents and spouses of students also pay a $10.00 activation fee per semester.
