Show 28 WEBER COLLEGE ZOOLOGY 5. Comparative Vertebrate Zoology. A continuation of Zoology 4, which is prerequisite. Two lectures and three laboratory periods a week. Five quarter hours. ZOOLOGY 6. Heredity. A study of the facts and principles relating to hereditary variations in living things. Five quarter hours. ZOOLOGY 10. Vertebrate Embryology. Especially designed for pre-medical students. Must be preceded by Zoology 4 and 5. This course comprises a study of the chick embryo and the principles of vertebrate development. Two lectures and three laboratory periods a week. Five quarter hours. (Not given 1934-35.) ZOOLOGY 17. General Entomology. A course designed to provide a general knowledge of insect structure, classification, and development. Three lectures and two laboratory periods a week. Prerequisite: Zoology 1. Five quarter hours. ZOOLOGY 18. Economic Entomology. A practical study of injurious and beneficial insects. Three lectures and two laboratory periods a week. Prerequisite: Zoology 1 or 17. Five quarter hours. (Not given 1934-35.) Physiology PHYSIOLOGY 1. General Human Physiology. A course devoted to the study of the care and functions of the human body. Five quarter hours. PHYSIOLOGY 2. Principles of Physiology. A study of the development and function of the human body as the essential basis for the study of hygiene, dietetics, and materia medica, and pathological conditions. Five quarter hours. (Nurses only.) Anatomy ANATOMY 1. Elementary Human Anatomy. A treatment of gross and microscopic structures of the human body as prerequisite to technical courses. Five quarter hours including laboratory. (Nurses only.) Psychology PSYCHOLOGY 1. General Psychology. A study of the nervous, muscular, and glandular machinery of the organism in relation to behavior; laws and principles that can be induced; reflexes, emotions, learning, motives, personality, behavior and its control.
