Show THE DEANS’ TEAM MEET THE VEEPS ESPLIN DAYTON Heading the largest school on the Weber State College Dr. Robert A. A. Clarke, DR. CLARKE the new ad- ministrative vice president of Weber State College, was appointed to his latest post in the spring of 1967. Prior to this, he had served as dean of faculty since 1947. He was also chairman of the Technical Division, veteran coordinator and an instructor of mathematics and physics. Born in American Fork, Utah, Dr. Clarke is a graduate of Brigham Young University, where he earned his master’s degree. He took his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Tech- nology. In 1937, he joined the WSC Dr. Clarke was president of the Northwest Association of Junior Colleges in 1950, and a member of the Governor’s Committee on Education JAMES DR. HELMUT P. HOFMANN- R. FOULGER Dr. James R. Foulger is the Business Vice President of Weber State College. He was given this position in Dr. Helmut P. Hofmann, the Weber State College academic vice president, was appointed to his post in August the spring of 1967. A native of Germany, Dr. Hofmann’ earned his Ph.D. degree at the Uni versity of Heidelberg. He taught im, Germany, worked as a social worker at the International Institute of Met ropolitan Detroit. McKay was appointed to his post in the spring of 1967. An acounting major, Dr. McKay graduated from Brigham Young University and received his master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University. From 1956-58, Dr. McKay was research advisor for the Ford Foundation at the University of Rangoon in Burma. He also held faculty posts at B.Y.U. and the University of Pittsburgh. Directing the new School of Education at Weber State is Dr. Caseel D. Burke, who was appointed in the spring of 1967. A graduate of Utah State University, Dr. Burke earned his master’s degree from there also. He was awarded his Ed.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Paul G. Butterfield has been appointed to the position of Dean of Continuing Education and Summer School at Weber State College. New ROBERT DAYLEY campus, the School of Arts, Letters, and Science, is Dr. Dello G. Dayton. Included in the new school are the former divisions of the Humanities, Life Sciences, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences and Social Sciences (20 courses and 196 faculty members). he also took his Ph.D. degree. DR. BUTTERFIELD Dr. Wendell L. Esplin, dean of the School of Technology and Trade-Technical Education, has been a leader in poonal and technical &4en area since 1946. voc . . education . training S. 7 in + the Dr. Alan J. Dayley is the Dean of Students for Weber State College. He was appointed to his position on November 15, 1965. Prior to being appointed Dean of Students, Dr. Dayley was Dean of Men at Weber State. A graduate of Brigham Young University, he earned his master’s degree from the University of Utah. He took his Ph.D. from the U. of U. with a major in educational psychology. At Weber State, he holds the faculty rank of asisstant professor. Weber State College Dean of Admissions and Records, Milton C. Mecham has served in his present capacity since 1961. A graduate of the University of Utah, he earned his master’s degree there, majoring in physical education and educational administration. Prior to coming to Weber in 1940, Mr. Mecham was assistant football coach and physical education instructor at the U. of U.
