Leroy Mecham. a PRESIDENT However, You have heard it said many times when you graduate it is off the campus and into reality. It is time to make a living and forget about changing the world. Yet, the experience gained in college does create an enthusiasm to change the world and add some worthwhile contributions. Alumni at Weber State College are scattered world-wide and engaged in about every conceivable pursuit of life. Many are business and civic leaders of the community, the state and the nation. We are fortunate to be living at a time when the world is interesting, challenging and changing. Knowledge is increasing at a fantastic rate creating more and more pressure on educational institutions. Our alma mater enters the new decade experiencing growing pains caused by accelerated student enrollment and need for larger facilities. Weber’s outstanding administration and growing faculty have made quality the by-word and its fruits are reflected in outstanding achievements in academic and athletic endeavors. Weber State College, like most colleges, ne eds the support of alumni to accomplish many worthwhil i goals. As alumni it seems only logical that some of ou time and effort be devoted to sustaining the institut which helped create our desire to make the world a be place to live. ; As Mark Twain once said, “Thunder is impressive . . lightning does the work”.
