Fundamentals of decorating house interiors are emphasized. Includes a study of period furniture, its selection and arrangement, and consideration of each room in the house. Three quarter hours. Autumn, Winter. Reichert 20. Clothes and Personality. How to plan, select and buy clothing. Choice of lines, styles, colors and fabrics for various figures. Lectures and demonstrations on make-up and hair styles, voice and diction, manners, personality, poise and posture, and other factors which affect appearance. Two quarter hours. Spring. Staff 21. This course is concerned with the principles of wise buying, budgeting, and getting the most for your money. Two quarter hours. Winter. Reichert 33. Preparation for Marriage and Family Living. Designed to help unmarried students understand attitudes and relationships in marriage, parenthood, and marital adjustments. Neville Medical Staff of Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital THOMAS D. DEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IS AFFILIATED WITH WEBER COLLEGE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH Since 1933, through an arrangement made by the administrators of Weber College and the Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital, student nurses accepted by the Hospital have pursued at the College a specific number of courses designated by authorities of the Hospital. Under the present plan students of nursing register as full-time matriculated students for four quarters at Weber College, and continue their professional subjects for the remaining period of time at the Dee Hospital. A Diploma is awarded at the completion of the three year program. The entire program will be completed while the student nurse is in residence at the Dee Hospital. With the cooperation of the College and the University, students of nursing may return to the University of Utah to complete the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. |
