It offers service courses for students majoring in other departments of the division. Courses of Instruction 3. Industrial Orientation The industrial environment with emphasis on development of effective study methods and habits and on proper preparation for entrance into the selected vocation. A (1). Staff 5. Tool OrientationNames and uses of hand tools, including soldering iron, drill bits and motors, taps and dies, torque wrenches, and other tools used in industry. Proper care and safety stressed during demonstrations and laboratory periods. AWS (1). Staff 7. Industrial SafetyDevelopment of safe working habits involved in proper lifting, eye safety, electric shock treatments, minor first aid, fire prevention, and use of various types of extinguishers.
