Show JOURNEYMAN RELATED TRAINING Courses of Instruction The following courses are offered to journeymen of the various trades who find it necessary to obtain information on various new developments in their respective fields. Additional classes may be offered as the need demands. 050. Electrical Cable SplicingFor journeymen electricians. Instruction given in the actual splicing of one-, two-, and three-conductor insulated, belted-lead cable; also the splicing of neoprene cable of all types and sizes. Included is instruction on the building and installation of stress cones and other technical information pertaining to high voltage conductors. (3). 051. Electricity (National Electric Code)Rules governing the installation of electrical wire for light and power. Restricted to Journeymen Electricians. (3). 052. Industrial Electronics Industrial applications of electronic circuits. (1) 060. Plumbing, Pipe Layout A course designed to acquaint the apprentice and journeyman plumber with layout work in the plumbing trade. Sketching, project, and reading of blueprints. (3). 061. Plumbing, Pipe WeldingA course for men in the plumbing industry who wish to learn the techniques of pipe welding. Acetylene, arc and inert gas welding of pipe. (3). 070. General Blueprint Reading Principles involved in the interpretation of trade drawings and blueprints. (3). 071. Blueprint ReadingPrinciples involved in sketching of trade industrial prints. (3). 072. Advanced Blueprint ReadingPrinciples involved in layout and drawing of trade industrial prints. (3). 091. Carpentry Weldingfor journeyman carpenters instruction and practice given in the basic fundamentals of oxy-acetylene and electric arc welding. Five laboratories. (3). Staff 094. Carpentryfor journeyman carpenters. Instruction on the use of the steel square, the laying out of simple roofs and stairs, in reading sketches, plans and blueprints, estimating, cabinet work, and interior, exterior trim. Five lectures.
