Show sl FROM THE ALUMNI PRESIDENT Alumni can play a key role in the growth and development of their college in many ways. It is our goal this year to keep you advised of some of the problems facing Weber State and ways you can help solve them. At the present time the State Legislature is in session and soon will be determining the appropriations and governance of our college. We have been concerned for years that Weber has not been receiving its fair share of State Appropriations. We are also very concerned about how they might change the governance of higher education. There is considerable pressure from certain groups to place all Universities and Colleges under one single board. Your association has adopted a resolution opposing this action and supports a program to strengthen the existing co-ordinating council enabling it to better administer budgets and curriculum for State Institutions without affecting our present Board of Trustees Administration.
