Show 64 WEBER COLLEGE students, who through the quarter prove themselves to be the superior debaters, the debating teams for intercollegiate competition are selected. Each year about six teams are chosen. One of these is sent on a debating tour through Idaho, Oregon and Washington, one through the state of California, one into the Southern States, two through the Central States, and one through the Eastern States. Oratory Oratory is a part of the work pursued in the regular composition courses, namely English 1, 2, 3 and 5. Inter intra-collegiate contests are held. Story Telling Story Telling is taught as a part of the regular composition courses, namely English 1, 2, and 4. Dramatics The Student Body Plays are prepared in the regular Dramatc Art classes. One major play is given at the close of the Autumn quarter, two major plays during the Winter quarter, and four major plays during the Spring quarter. Acorn The Acorn, the college annual, is prepared by students studying English composition, painting and sculpture. WEBER COLLEGE 65 DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY, POLITICAL SCIENCE AND LAW JOHN QUINCY BLAYLOCK Candidates for the Associate of Science degree in History, Political Science, and Law must meet the prescribed entrance requirements and complete ninety-three quarter hours of approved work, exclusive of Bible Literature. HISTORY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE Requirements for Entrance Units are required as follows: English 3, Modern Languages or Latin 2, Algebra 1, Geometry I, History 1, Science 1, Electives 6. Students who cannot meet the Modern Languages or Latin requirements will be allowed to make up these requirements in college.
