A study of foods in their relation to health, nutritive value and digestibility. This course is designed for those who are not majoring in Home Economics. Laboratory work daily. Autumn Quarter. Three quarter hours. Home Economics 2. Foods are prepared and served daily in the cafeteria. The course involves planning of menus, marketing, comparative costs and dining room service. Winter Quarter. Three quarter hours. Home Economics 3. Principles involved in selecting food for the individual or the family are studied. Advanced cooking in the laboratory including menus for various social occasions. Magazine and book reports are discussed. Spring Quarter. Three quarter hours. |
