Show 74 WEBER COLLEGE Home Economics 4. Home Nursing. This course is planned to qualify students to meet emergencies and conditions arising in the home where professional skill is not necessary, or where assistance can be given until medical help can be obtained. The periods of adolescence and motherhood are stressed. Special lectures and demonstrations are given by medical authorities. Autumn Quarter. Three quarter hours. Home Economics 5. Household Engineering. A study of fundamental principles involved in systematic housekeeping, as related to health, convenience, economy and time. Special attention is given to the family income and its expenditure, standards of living and the simplification and organization of house work. Winter Quarter. Three quarter hours. Home Economics 6. Home Furnishing and Decorating. A study of the evolution of the home from the earliest times to the nineteenth century; consideration of old styles of architecture and furniture, as compared with modern styles; selection and care of furnishings for a home of moderate income. Spring Quarter. Three quarter hours. WEBER COLLEGE 75 DEPARTMENT OF MODERN LANGUAGES AND LATIN NORMA ALVORD AUBRY CHARLES CHANDLER Candidates for the Associate of Arts degree in Modern Languages or Latin must meet the prescribed entrance requirements and complete ninety-three quarter hours of approved work, exclusive of Bible Literature. Candidates for the degree of Bachelor of Arts who present for entrance less than 25 credit hours in one foreign language (French, German, Greek, Latin, Spanish) must pursue such language in college until they have earned a minimum of 25 credit hours. Requirements for Entrance Units are required as follows: English 3, Modern Languages or Latin 3, Algebra 1, Geometry 1, History 1, Science 1, Electives 5. Students who cannot meet the Modern Languages or Latin requirements will be allowed to make up these requirements in college.
