Community tennis lessons are Free! Free! Free ! Beginning FREE group tennis lessons are available for the residents of Marriott-Slaterville City. This means that kids, Moms and Dads can take free lessons together. This program will go on all summer. Non-resident guests may take these lessons for only $1.00/ lesson (may be limited by court space). Rackets and balls will be made available at no cost. Lessons will be taught once a week in the morning at the DDO Tennis Courts. Times and days will be dependent on the number of players. Sign-up will be at the Marriott-City Building on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 10;30 -2:00 PM. Special sign-up arrangements can be made by calling Jim Ito: 731-6777. JULY 2006 July 3rd (Monday) - Eighth Annual Marriott-Slaterville Golf Tournament: Tee times available between: 4:00-7:00 p.m. Place: Mulligan's Golf Course. Cost: $10 (includes green fees). Register: Danny Brown 731-4746. July 3rd (Monday) - Little Miss Firecracker Pageant Open to kids ages 6, 7, and 8 years old. Deadline for entries June 8. Contact Lori Jones at 710-4237 to volunteer as a pageant hostess or for more information. Open to Marriott-Slaterville residents ONLY. July 4th (Tuesday) - Freedom Celebration Breakfast - 8:00 a.m. at Marriott Park and Slaterville Park. Parade. 10:30 a.m. - 700 South on 1200 West to Marriott Park. Line-up at 10:00 a.m. - no entry fee, just show up. Lunch and activities 11:00 afternoon at Marriott Park. Hamburgers, hot dogs, games, giant slide, candy cannons, auction, contests, pie eating contest, prizes, and lots of fun!. Contact Pam Slater at 392-0305 for more information. July 4th Baby Contest. No entry fee. For children under age 2. Must enter by June 8. Contact Lori Jones at 710-4237 to volunteer or for more information. Marriott-Slaterville residents ONLY. Benefit Auction. On July 4th, the city will host another benefit auction to raise funds for the Marriott-Slaterville Senior Center. Your donations to this auction are appreciated. You may drop off your auction items in advance with Judy Fuller at 596 South 1900 West, or call Judy by phone at 731-1817 for questions. In lieu of dropping off an auction item in advance, you can bring your auction item to Marriott Park on July _4th. The auction will start after lunch._ PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2006 - 7:00 P.M. 1. Call to Order/minutes. 2. Public hearing on application to amend the zoning map from A-1 to C2-P at 2036 W. Pioneer Road by Maverick, Inc. 3. Discussion/action on public hearing. 4. Tentative: Discussion on proposed subdivision on Daniels property behind Slaterville Park. 5. Discussion/action on site plan for community park in the rear of the municipal complex. 6. Update on development projects and enforcement. 7. Adjourn until July 18, 2006. This agenda is tentative. Items can and will change. CITY COUNCIL MEETING THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 2006 - 6:30 PM 1. Call to Order/minutes. 2. Business Licenses: Sandworks, 812 W 1700 S, Unit A, assemble off-road vehicles. 3. Park committee awards. 4. Presentation on 700 South detention basin/park. 5. Discussion/action on issuing a request for proposals for a garbage collection contract. 6. Training: a. Open Meetings Act: Pres. Ilium. b. Legislative Update: Bill. c.
