Show Monday, June 13. Dr and Taylor drove in to San Francisco at 730 this A.M. The A.M.A. Convention opened at 9 A.M. Taylors work is at Bank America. Dr spent all day at the Convention. I have enjoyed the day visiting with Mary. She is very well and happy. David goes to school so he too went early. I rested until ten this A.M. then went to market with Mary. Wrote a letter to Myrene. Dr & Taylor came home by six P.M. and we had a nice dinner which Mary prepared. Dr enjoyed the day. Tuesday, June 14. Blanch gave birth to a 8 and three fourths girl at Dee Hospital. I went into San Francisco this A.M. with Dr & Taylor. Attended the opening session of the Womens Auxiliary to the A.M.A. It was held in the Gold & Rose room at Fair Mount Hotel. Mrs Agustus S. Kech president presiding. I have met her two previous conventions and to me she is a wonderful women. Has a fine personality and seems very capable. I met Mrs Jenetta Morrell, Mrs Ray Ward and others from Utah. At 1230 P.M. we took the Boat Trip and Buffet Luncheon, Visited Treasure Island, walked one mi to a building just completed for the Fair in 1939, had lunch & walked back one mi to boat, not so thrilling. |
