Physical Education or Physical Education Teaching K-12 Major » Program Prerequisite: Not required for Physical Education majors. Physical Education Teaching K-12 Majors must meet the Teacher Education admission and certification requirements (see Teacher Education Department in this catalog). » Minor: Required. Physical Education Teaching K-12 Majors must select a teaching minor. » Grade Requirements: Physical Education majors must have a 2.85 GPA or better in all courses required for this major. No more than one "D" grade is acceptable. Teaching majors must achieve an overall GPA of 3.00 for admission to the Teacher Education program. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for graduation - a minimum of 48 of these is required within the major. A total of 40 upper division credit hours is required (courses number 3000 and above) ~ 36 of these are required within the major.
